Race Pakistan 2027
How the
competition works.
Race Pakistan is a national STEM competition run by NUVEX (Pvt) Ltd. Teams of 14 to 19 year olds design a CO2-powered model car in CAD, machine it on a CNC, find sponsors, run a budget, and defend their work in front of industry judges before racing it on a 20-metre track.
Who can enter
- Teams of 4 to 6 students
- Every member aged 14 to 19 at the time of competition
- One member is the Team Manager and the contact with Race Pakistan
- All work done by the team; outside help must be acknowledged
The car
Every car runs on one 12g CO2 cartridge, supplied on the day, down a 20-metre elevated track with a tether line. Each team brings a primary car and a backup.
Judging
950 points,
six categories.
The highest combined score wins. Racing is only part of it.

Scrutineering
Before racing, every car is measured and weighed against the technical regulations. It earns no points, but breaking a rule costs penalty points, and breaking a critical regulation rules a team out of the major awards.

- Race Pakistan Champion, plus 1st and 2nd runner up
- Fastest Car (a head-to-head final)
- Engineering and design awards, including an Innovation award
- Business strategy awards and Best Paddock
Awards are presented at the end of day two.
